Detailed information on shipping “Free Matter for the Blind” may be found at the United States Postal Service website section, http://www.usps.com/cpim/ftp/pubs/pub347_print.htm

Question: What must be marked on mail to show that it is qualified for mailing free of postage?

In the upper right corner of the address side of the envelope or parcel where the postage would normally be placed, the words “FREE MATTER FOR THE BLIND OR HANDICAPPED” must be printed, rubber stamped, or handwritten.

No, if you want to track materials you send to AIM-VA, use the United Parcel Service contract described below.

Question:  How do I send materials using the United Parcel Service (UPS) Returns on the Web?

To use the United Postal Service (UPS) Returns on the web, go to http://returns.upsrow.comThe login ID and password are both georgemason.  Once you have logged in, complete your mailing address information and indicate the approximate weight of the package.  Upon completion, select “submit” to get a mailing label that you will affix to your package of materials.  Either use a UPS drop off box or if your school has a regular pick-up and delivery service in place, please leave your package with your school’s mailing services for UPS to pick-up.

Question:  Can I schedule a UPS Pick-up?

Do not schedule a pick-up as this creates an unauthorized charge on the AIM-VA account.

Question:  Where can I find UPS drop off locations near me?

If your school does not have a regular pick up service with UPS, please search for a drop off location convenient for you on the UPS website, http://www.ups.com/dropoff
