George Mason University Special Education Programs Funding Opportunity

A funded research grant funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Institute of Educational Sciences and Penn State University is seeking qualified applicants for 20 hour a week research assistantships for the academic year 2008-2009. The grant is designed to implement and assess expository writing skills of middle school students with Emotional Disabilities. The research involves working with a team of GMU researchers, teachers and students in the local schools, and partnering with colleagues from Penn State University. Student support for 20 hour a week positions, tuition assistance, and potential for travel to conferences and Penn State University for collaborative meetings.  Please send letter of application and vita to:
