Screening

Assistive technology screening to assist in determining appropriate technology for empowering individuals with disabilities is a fee for service offered by VATS North. The assistive technology screening includes a phone interview, observation, research, recommendations, references, and written report. The screening can be done in your home, school, work location, or in the Assistive Technology Lab at George Mason University. Screenings are available in the areas of communication, computer access, telecommunications, positioning and mobility, educational activities, leisure activities, vocational activities, home environmental control, and activities of daily living. VATS North does not directly purchase devices or services.
