Financial and Service Obligation

After I complete the doctoral program, do I have an obligation to continue in education and use the knowledge and skills I have acquired through this doctorate?
Yes. Refer to the Financial and Service Obligation document that you must sign and agree to before you can be accepted as a grant recipient. Most grant applicants are within a career path for which this doctorate is a logical "next step," and view the Financial and Service Obligation as a direct alignment with what they already were planning to do. So for most grant applicants, the Financial and Service Obligations are not factors that would prohibit them from applying for the grant and agreeing to those conditions if they are accepted for the grant. However, if you read the Financial and Service Obligations and realize you cannot commit to all conditions, you need to know that now. If you cannot commit to the Financial and Service Obligations, you should not apply for this grant.
