CEC
The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities, and/or the gifted. CEC advocates for appropriate governmental policies, sets professional standards, provides continual professional development, advocates for newly and historically underserved individuals with exceptionalities, and helps professionals obtain conditions and resources necessary for effective professional practice.
CLAS
The Early Childhood Research Institute on Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) is a federally-funded collaborative effort of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, The Council for Exceptional Children, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, the ERIC Clearinghouse on Elementary and Early Childhood Education, and the ERIC Clearinghouse on Disabilities and Gifted Education. The CLAS Institute is funded by the Office of Special Education Programs of the U.S. Department of Education .
ERIC
ERIC is a national information system designed to provide the education community at large ready access to an extensive body of education-related literature. Established in 1966, ERIC is administered by the National Library of Education and supported by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Educational Research and Improvement .

PEATC
The Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center(PEATC) assists the families of children with disabilities through education, information and training. PEATC builds parent-professional partnerships to promote success in school and community life.
