2009 Conference
This was a one day conference that focused on postsecondary education for students with intellectual disabilities. The purpose of the conference was to discuss the current state of research and practice in the field. Outcomes of this conference will be a better understanding of existing postsecondary education programs for students with intellectual disabilities and recommendations for future research. The findings will help shape federal efforts to improve access to postsecondary education as envisioned by Congress and made law as the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008.
